Character Inspiration

There is a wide scope for characters you can make in the universe of Reference II, but if you're unsure, here are a few places to start! This list is by no means prescriptive, but aims to encapsulate a wide range of playstyles. Bear in mind these are just suggestions, feel free to follow the advice here as much or as little as you'd like, or even not at all. This is your character, and your way to play the game.

When you entered the competition, you had one thing on your mind: discovery. You don't care what the risks are, they pale in comparison to the experience of living through Stories!

Suggested Story Quirks: All Eyes on Me, Quick Learner

You have one goal; push the limits of Stories as much as possible. That's the best way to learn, after all!

Suggested Story Quirks: Let's Go Gambling!, Metamorphosis

What does it mean to be in a Story? What value do In-Story characters have? What ? You've been asking these questions ever since you saw your winning ticket, and you don't think they're going to be answered any time soon.

Suggested Story Quirks: Metamorphosis, Technical Difficulties

You saw that 'congratulations on winning' letter and could think only of the escape from life that an opportunity like this could afford, even if only for a week.

Suggested Story Quirks: One of the Locals, Preformed Opinions

You entered the competition because you are desperate to know the more about the elusive Alusia Foundation. Whether you're after a job, just a massive nerd or another secret thing, this Exhibition is your chance to finally find out more about the company and its inventions.

Suggested Story Quirks: Ain't From Round Here, Technical Difficulties

You've left something, or someone, behind to join the Alusia Foundation. You miss home a lot, but you know it's worth it for the experience of a lifetime. Hopefully you can find something or someone new here that won't make the experience as bad as you're afraid it will be.

Suggested Story Quirks: All Eyes on Me, Preformed Opinions

You 'won' your ticket, but by what means, at what cost? You might have chosen a morally dubious method to obtain your place, but that doesn't matter to you. What matters is that you've made it. But wait, why are you standing out like a sore thumb, both in the Foundation, and in Stories?

Suggested Story Quirks: Ain't From Round Here, Let's Go Gambling!
