“Woah! This is amazing!”

Violet stared out of the aeroplane window as it descended through the clouds, revealing the view of the fields below. It was no longer in Eli’s body.

Mario laughed from the cockpit. This view had become so normal to him that he forgot how exciting being in a plane for the first time is.

The plane approached the runway smoothly, and as Mario drove it to its parking space, Violet pulled out a map, and began to scribble all over it.

“So we could visit that castle, and… ooh, a dungeon! How cool!”

Another chuckle from Mario as he walked towards his friend. It looked at him and smiled.

“Thanks Mario! That was fun.”

“Oh wait! Hang on. I found this at the bookshop last week. I thought you might like it.”
Violet reaches into her bag, and pulls out a book, wrapped in green ribbon. It hands the book to Mario.

It’s a copy of Operation Last Stand.
